Hollywood movie studios Lionsgate and Tribeca Enterprises are jointly launching an online streaming service, the Washington Post has reported.
The announcement comes on the heels of HBO’s announcement that it would next year release a service allowing users to stream HBO content without needing a cable subscription.
The dual Hollywood movie studio service, called “Tribeca Short List,” will launch during the first half of next year. The service will include movies made by both Lionsgate and Tribeca Enterprises, as well as outside studios, according to the Washington Post.
Details on pricing and the number of titles to be released were not revealed.
